Cynact is a vendor-neutral, multi-protocol edge platform. That neutrality makes it useful for utility innovation teams: a single node speaks to the lights, HVAC, water heat, batteries, solar, and EVs across a building — with the local control needed for fast, reliable program participation.

Some of what's below ships today; the OpenADR / IEEE 2030.5 / DER integrations are on our roadmap. We label each capability honestly.

Every Cynact site speaks to its loads in real time — HVAC, lighting, water heating, EV chargers (roadmap), batteries (roadmap), and solar (roadmap) — through a single edge node with sub-5 ms control.

Pre-cool, pre-heat, dim, defer, and resume across the building stack on a schedule, on a price signal, or on a manual dispatch. Local control means events execute even if the WAN drops mid-event.

Whole-building and circuit-level telemetry stored with the originating event. Baselines, settlement-ready CSV/JSON exports, and per-site dashboards for utility program managers.

Residential aggregation

Why local-first matters for demand response

Cloud-only platforms drop events when the WAN flakes. Cynact runs the control loop on a local edge node, so a dispatch executes even if the cloud is unreachable mid-event. Settlement data is queued and replayed when connectivity returns. The result: higher event-completion rates, cleaner M&V data, and less customer friction.
